About this animation

This animation is a living construction of Islamic geometric pattern — the same compass-and-straightedge tradition used by craftsmen in Persia, Moorish Andalusia, and the Mamluk courts for over a thousand years. It was built in collaboration between Phillip Simon and Claude, Anthropic's AI, through an iterative conversation exploring the mathematics of symmetry, nested form, and three-dimensional space. Every loop generates a unique composition — no two are ever the same.
